All tapes came with fully-printed covers with full info on the music inside. All comments are reprinted from the V. Some of this overlaps with the live '68 boot, which is on tape Sound Wild & Unreleased good. Also many hard to get Cale, Reed and Nico studio and live tracks.
Sweet Nuthin' only known live recordingRay, Waiting. Tape is continued on 1. Note : the 6 demos are presented here at the correct speed for the first time anywhere. Sound : good to fair. Sound : VG, VG. We agree the mono is the way to go. One channel of "Sister Ray"? Sound : E. Sound : E to G. Sound : E to VG.
You know how screwly the speed was on the songs - even the new CD boots are wrong. Hear it the right way. Sound : VG. Plus : interviews with all four before and Illusions - The Haunted - Strength In Numbers the big event.
Recorded at St. The final show of their emotional four night run at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. This is the complete show, with Moe coming out for the only encore of the series, to do "Pale Blue Eyes".
Long out of print, Mainline is the finest record of the history of the Velvet Underground. It traces the history of the band from up to Sterling's video duet with John in What also makes this indispensable is the sound - it's boosted well over any other boot or tape.
Sadly, the vinyl is Fandanguillos De Almeira - Various - Ole Y Olé gone, but this tape carries all the punch. Sound : VG- to VG. Quite a good band, actually. There are several tapes and records around to attest to that, and this is a collection of all the best of those live performances, showing that the various lineups with Moe, Sterling, Doug, Billy, Willie and Walter could still rock.
This is a fine place to hear some of the rare music that played a great part in John's contribution to VU. This is the blow-out of blow-outs. This unique tape I Cant Stand It - The Velvet Underground - Searchin For My Mainline Live about when a boston fan recorded the show directly through Lou's guitar amp. The result? Nearly inaudible vocals, Lou's guitar out in front of everything, and a fantastic ride through the guts of the band on a wild night. Sound : a crazy VG.
Sound : VG to G. Fascinating tape of two very different minds at work, with some odd songs "Little Sister", Little Queenie", "Wildwood Flower". And doubly interesting to hear these two working on some of the classics they created : "All Tomorrow's", "Femme" and "Mirror". Bonus : the 4 songs EP boot from Pariswith great sound, at the correct speed for the first time. Loose, well-recorded, with even portions recorded afterhours.
You've heard most of the highlights on Live 69; now you can hear the entire evening - two complete sets worth of the VU. It's just as well there's not room for all of that, as that sloppy jam is not the VU maybe Moe and Doug, on other instrumentsbut mainly audience members having a rip at ye olde blues scales. Great sound! No place ever embraced the Velvets as has Prague, and this show, with President Vaclav Havel in attendance, was the emotional peak of the tour.
